Personal Bio
- Amogh D. Velangi, DDS, joined Valley Specialty Group after the completion of specialty training at NYU Medical Center/ Bellevue Hospital Center in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Manhattan, NYC. He earned his dental degree from New York University where he was inducted into the Omicon Kappa Upsilon Society for graduating in the top 5% of his class. He has received his Bachelors degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto. Dr Velangi has received the Implant Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has also presented several papers at national meetings in jaw reconstructions and orthognathic surgery. During his residency, he has served as chief resident of a Level 1 Trauma center and as a teaching fellow at the College of Dentistry. He is a board eligible member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery as well as a member of the American Dental Association, Arizona Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the Phoenix Society of Oral Surgery.
- Dr. Velangi, now resides in Scottsdale. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, tennis, hiking and spending time with family.
